The interface structure of Symbian's Quartz software was already in place but the interface appearance was a blank canvas. Color studies, icon styles and selection appearance models were explored until we settled upon a solid foundation that would become the guideline in a series of other displays.

The visual design development included the upper navigation strip, the appearance of the application launcher, selection appearance models as well as the the icon design.

mouseworksmedia designed 17 application icons as well as a multitude of icons within the applications. Layout and design proposals were also developed for Quartz application window appearance, dialog and messaging window appearance, window controls and sub navigation within the applications
